Administration

Central module of Cegid HR that allows a first level of configuration and a centralisation of all modules' information.

Authorisation

Authorisation configured in the Administration module, that can define for a user (owner of a list) the list of employees he is authorised to see in Cegid HR modules and for whom he can view the information.

Automatic rule

Method of automatically assigning roles and creating clearance lists according to specific criteria, configurable in the Administration module.

Code

Unique identifier defined by the client and entered in the field of the same named in a library node's detail. The code is usually used for imports or technical actions.

Company start date

Date of the first day of the most recent period of working for your company.

Compensation structure

Set of a client compensation data that has been defined in the Compensation tab of the Settings menu of Core HR. Administrators create and manage the compensation structure, the HR staff uses this structure's data in employees files.

The structure includes the compensation categories, sections, and properties entered into each section.

Data set

Set of fields grouped by information type: contact information, national identifier, etc. Each data set consists of one or more fields, mandatory or not.

Data versioning

Process used to manage changes to data over time. When data is versioned, it has a start date and can have an end date.

Employee

Person who works in your company. In Core HR, an employee is a hired person who has an employee file with all his information.

Employee file

On Core HR, unique file of an employee containing all his information in the form of data sets.

Event

Change in an employee situation, which requires the simultaneous update of several data sets, taking effect on the same date.

Field

Core HR element in which information is filled in a specific format, allowing it to be saved in the database.

Future employee

Someone who has been recruted recently, but does not have an employee file yet in Core HR. The person can come from the Recruitment module or can have been recruted in another way. Core HR consider this person has a future employee as long as his file is in draft mode and has not been entirely created.

Group start date

Date of the first working day of an employee in your company. This date does not change even if the employee is transferred to another entity, or if he leaves the company and comes back later.

Key property

Administration module libraries to label employees' files with values. Key properties values can be applied to employees or element, for a defined period.

Library

Group of data with an arborescent (with parents and children levels) or horizontal structure, linked to a subject, such as geographical area, types of contracts or the company entities.

Mirroring

Technical process that copies Core HR data in the Administration module so it can be distributed to all the suite modules and be used by these modules.

Node

Element of a library level: a library can have several nodes on the first level (parents nodes) and then nodes on levels below (children nodes). Each node is versioned, can be configured and personalised (label, code, etc.)

Onboarding group

Group of people hired at the same time. Their entry date in the company is the same.

Position management

Core HR module option to facilitate the hierarchical organisation, to manage vacant or overstaffed positions.

Quicklook

In the Administration module, a section that appears at the selection of an element in a tab to display more information. Quicklooks are displayed on the left of the main panel.

Record

Information saved in a data set. Each record has a start date and might have an end date.

Right

Authorisation actived from the Administration module to configure, per user, access to modules, actions, and data. Rights are configured per role.

Role

Group of rights activated to suit a specific function in your organisation: manager, training manager, administrator, etc. The role authorises an employee to view data and take action in all the modules.

Status

Element status, that determines whether the element can be used or not in Core HR. There are two mains status: Active or Inactive.

Template

Element use to define the visible data sections for an employee file. It is possible to have several templates to reflect the different types of employee in a company. The template can also be used to define the fields displayed and/or required in each data section, as well as the fields for each event.

User account

Unique identification of the Administration module, allowing the user to access all the Cegid HR suite, and so the Core HR module.
